Rescue Village (Geauga Humane Society) in Novelty, 510 | Clear The Shelters 2022
Rescue Village is a private, not-for-profit, non-government organization located in Novelty, Ohio that is fueled solely by donations to provide public services to Geauga County and beyond. Rescue Village is a shelter for dogs, cats, small animals and domesticated barn animals in need. With a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic, Rescue Village provides medical care to over 2,000 homeless animals every year and spay/neuter services to over 700 community cats every year. We are a law enforcement agency that upholds Ohio’s animal anti-cruelty laws and prosecutes people who break those laws. When people are in crisis and need temporary pet assistance, Rescue Village is here to help through our Community Guardian program and our Pet Food Pantry, allowing pets and their people to stay together when times are tough. Rescue Village also produces Woofstock, the largest outdoor dog festival in the region, held every year in September with all the proceeds benefiting the animals.

Help your local shelter & pets in need.
Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
