A Third Consecutive Year of University for Khadijah
“From the background I come from, there is a high poverty level and girls are forced into early marriage rather than improving their life through education – hence this has given me motivation to attend school to be able to come out of the vicious cycle of poverty. I will be able to raise my living standards through education and any monetary value that I get from the job enables me to change my livelihood and that of the community” – Khadijah
Help us reach our goal of raising $530 to fully fund the remainder of her secondary education!
Funds raised over the goal amount will help other deserving girls like Khadijah attend school in Kenya.

Khadijah attends school at Kenyetta University in Nairobi, Kenya. She was invited to attend the public university after doing extremely well in high school. She is pursuing a bachelor of science in environmental education in the school of environmental studies. After graduation, her dream is to work with an international organization that deals with environmental conservation. She is passionate about this cause because she grew up in a family that engaged up in charcoal burning and poaching. Her community has seen the negative effects of climate change and she wants to be part of the solution in mitigating climate change.
This is the third year Khadijah has received a scholarship through the GROW program. During her first year at University, she specifically enjoyed gaining awareness of the environment as a whole, and thinking about how to solve the challenges it faces. With this scholarship, she got the opportunity to participate in activities such as community clean–up, tree–planting, and spreading awareness to the community at environment day events. Khadijah expresses her gratitude to her previous scholarship sponsors for the opportunities they have given her, and for all the work they’ve done to help other girls in need. Now she needs your help again.
With YOUR help, we can send Khadijah to school for another year! 100% of your donation goes directly to Wildlife Works as a grant to allow her to attend school.
Consider making a monthly gift. When you give just $40 monthly, you can ensure Khadijah or another girl in Kenya has a permanent scholarship until she graduates.
