Knox County Humane Society in Mount Vernon, 535 | Clear The Shelters 2022
The Knox County Humane Society is a small, private, non-profit, 501c3 shelter located in Mount Vernon, OH. We focus our intake and adoption on cats and kittens. We were able to adopt or find live alternative placements for 344 cats and kittens last year. We also have low-cost clinics open to the public for spay and neuter and wellness services for dogs and cats to both decrease the number of unwanted pets in our community as well as better help owners take care of and keep the pets they have. We believe strongly in keeping pets and people that love them together if at all possible. Through our spay/neuter clinic alone, we have been able to “fix” over 2,000 animals just last year. We could do none of this without support of people just like you! Please consider a donation to help us continue our efforts!
During checkout, you can opt-in to provide your contact information directly to the shelter you are supporting. To do this, check the box that says, “Subscribe to emails for coupons, deals, charity news, and more.”
Help your local shelter & pets in need.
Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
